My sarcasm scanner's on the fritz, so I'm taking perfect as perfect. I had a third one about people who failed auditions to be in the Broom Cupboard in the early 90s for being too jubilant.
No I mean perfect. I too have been on nights out where I'm just not feeling it. I'm sure everyone has. I don't know which member of B*witched was on what series of Big Brother but I can easily picture forced happiness and energy from someone in that line of work.
Finished this tonight, was quite a gap tbh, should've started again. Chicken man, particularly the roof jump, raised it from a [5] to a [6], but Vinnie Jones talking to broccoli brought it back down to a [5]. Not a bad film, funny in quite a few places, but too disjointed and odd in a way that missed the mark for me.
Spoiler:
Crow pecked almost rape victim and her mate were good, as were some of the advert bits.
I saw The Twilight Samurai on its limited UK theatrical release. As I remember, it was very atmospheric and was not at all afraid to take its time with the storytelling. Its sequel, The Hidden Blade, is also worth watching, if not quite as good. 8/10
I watched Twilight Samurai on Netflix I think. Or maybe I bought it. Superb, gets an [8] from me too. Would watch it again if it's chosen but I only saw it three or four months ago.
As an aside, is 13 Assassins worth buying on Blue ray for £4.63? It takes me a while to gear myself up for martial arts films, but when I'm in the mood I'm in the mood. What with all the fighty talk elsewhere innit.
13 Assassins is pretty good. It's got a Straw Dogs, Home Alone vibe to it. I remember thinking it was pretty slow to get to the obvious whole-point-of-the-film climactic ending but its worth the wait.
Help! I'm hosting a Streets of Fire viewing tomorrow and I can't find the usb stick I put it on. Any chance someone could stick it back on the dropbox thing please?
Unit sure what to make of citizen Ruth. Depressing throughout and an ending I can't quite come to terms with.
He could've just said they came from another planet but seems keen to convince people with his bullshit pseudoscience that he knows stuff. I wouldn't trust him with my lunch. - SG
I know the subject is depressing but I never found it so myself, it's clearly not meant to be taken seriously. A friend reckoned the music was the only thing that stopped it being depressing.
