I'm so used to playing f1 games that i know all the tracks inside and out, however never played paul riccard circuit before so i'm finding it wierd to watch practise. The blue lines are just wierd on the circuit.
edit: i need sunglasses to watch, these blue and red lines, fecking hell, who's idea was that.
What sort of track are we expecting then? Technical and dull like Hungaro ring/ Catalunya? Power track like Monza, Interlargos or fast cornering corker like Suzuka? Any over taking opportunities?
I used to like Magny Cours so hopefully it's a good replacement. Visually I quite like all the colours on the track, it differentiates itself for a lot of others on the calendar.
Here you go eric. It used to be a much faster circuit, scarily so when Brundle was a f1 driver, but they added chicanes to slow it down post senna death.
Drivers have asked for the chicane that was added in the middle of the long straight to be removed. too late for this year, if approved next year we'll be back to the layout for the late 80s. A ridiculously fast straight into a hairpin, should allow baku type overtaking
I'd like to see Ricciardo at Ferrari embarrassing Vettel again but that's not going to happen. Leclerc seems likely.
He's got the talent but Ferrari don't have history of nuturing such young talent.
Sainz would absolutely be the best choice.. not sure how water tight his red bull contract is.. or whether he's going to stay at Renault after Red Bull stop using renault engines but he'd be the best man for the job.
