By trim do they mean tidy? I think that is reasonable tbh.
Same with long hair, length doesn't fuss me but it should be looked after, the last thing I want is my change being slippery with hair grease.
They shoul ban people that smell of cigarettes they're gross we. Also ban al semblance of individuality, allow me to order by typing commands into an interface.
It's utter bullshit, and I look forward to them trying to enforce it on the staff at my local.
"It goes without saying that we want our work colleagues to feel valued as individuals who can express their personalities, but it's also important that we balance this against the needs and expectations of our customers, who, ultimately, have to be at the heart of everything we do."
Hello HMV Spokesperson. I suspect that you don't shop in HMV. Well I do. I'd like to inform you that my needs and expectations don't in any way get affected by some bloke with waist length hair, a lip ring and a full sleeve tattoo who's wearing black jeans, unless he's not able to tell me if the shop has the newest Yellowcard album. Because that's the only bit that actually matters.
I need to buy a CD. I expect you to have it in. This is the beginning and end of my needs and expectations. Leave the staff alone. Unless they smell of cabbage, are forgoing clothes entirely or worse, both, leave them alone to do their job.
Fuck it, I'm sending that to their customer services.
"Thank you for taking the time and trouble to write in with your views. I will also pass these on to relevant colleagues so that they too will be aware of how strongly you feel about this matter."
Then the thing they posted on Facebook.
I actually agree with 'you must look smart and presentable'. I still don't see where having 'extensive body art' means you can't look like that. Not quite sure how the long hair thing is a health and safety matter either. Not once has my hair been mentioned in a risk assessment.
Seemed MARGINALLY less horrible. The stale smell isn't there yet, and they weren't playing HARDCORE RAVE TUNES/DEATH METAL.
Might pop in if I'm in town on Sunday. Only been to the other one once (see Game proce match fiasco posts earlier in thread) but it was enough to convince me never to go back.
I bought my last but one phone from there. It was fully of scallies swapping mugged mobiles for crack tokens. Was nothing wrong with the phone or customer service though.
I was in a CEX in Glasgow on Thursday. Â It was clean, the boxes looked in good condition and clean, and there wasn't a smell, and it was bright and pleasant. Â The shop, I mean, not Glasgow. Â It's still a dive.
