Just like Herman Cain, they're idiots who are reaping just a tiny fraction of what they've sown. I hope it kills them.
It's certainly a convenient time to get it. Especially if he can make a 'full recovery' with a couple of weeks to go, skipping a debate or two in the meantime.tin_robot wrote:I can't decide if it's a damning indictment of me or Trump, but my knee jerk response on hearing the news was "yeah, but does he really have it?"

It’s more of a line that swing voters won’t cross. I wouldn’t put very much past the GOP.RedDave2 wrote:djchump wrote:I guess it put the nix on talking about his taxes and his white supremacy.

To be fair, last night when he was on hannity he did condem proud boys, kkk and white supremecy. Now he did use the usual BS - doesn't know who proud boys are, what about antifa etc. But while I doubt he means it, it hopefully points to some lines his backers in the GoP won't (publically) cross.

I'm not like you lot with this "I wouldn't wish this disease on anyone. I wouldn't wish anyone to die" - I absolutely do wish it kills every one of those fuckers. With the depths of despair, pain and misery they have needlessly inflicted on the most vulnerable members of their society, I hope they die badly and publicly.First thought was its a fabrication. If its genuine then the optimal outcome is he gets sick but recovers and is contrite ...so perhaps knocking all that denial crap on the head. Unlikely though.

It could be down to the individual. There are professors and intellectuals at 80+, even 90+, who remain sharp-minded as ever. I'm not sure it's a necessary condition of getting "old" that you become mentally less capable. The key appears to be "exercising the brain" by learning new things. Not reading fiction, for example, but learning a new language, or educational courses that sort of thing. Sorry sidetrack, but something I've been thinking about. I used to watch people in their 50s, 60s, 70s struggle to handle a few steps and think "I will do everything I can do never be in that position" and it stepped up my exercising and diet efforts. Now I think the same about the mind.
