So what do you think of VR? (And have you tried Resi 7 in it?)

Also, put a friend in the Kitchen 'demo' last night, got to where she stabs the 'anchorman/weekend sub' and he pulled the headset off and said 'Nope, not doing that'. Brilliant. -
So i started resi last night but didn't have the courage for VR.
Does it make it a magnitude better/scarier? I don't know if I could handle it if it carries on as tensely as the first hour or so. Please advise. -
I played and finished it 3 times on my Xbox, started it in VR, completely different. Get on it.

I played a shitty horror demo on an early oculus and it scared me because it managed to pull me in. Can't imagine something slick like RE7

...as is the area X version of Rez Infinite (unlocked only after finishing the full, original game), the nephews would swear blood money on the asynchronous stuff in the Playroom VR too since we've now nailed the entire coin collection and keep hammering it...
...and the Joshua Bell violin thingy is a lovely little thing if you are above the age of 10... at the very least for the VRness of the experience alone.

What's the easiest way to try VR? I don't want to spent a lot just want to have a go. Is something like this any good?

I don't know about your neck of the woods, but around here there are a few places that sell time slots on VR - usually about 30 minutes or so. You can pick a game and get a little room to play around in. Anything like that near you? -
I did it Vere!
I played a bit of resi 7 in VR and it's just about the best thing ever. Still fucking hated it though. I'm just too much of a chicken.
My plan is to now play through resi in non VR, learn its jump points, scares and rules then just restart in VR. -

I kind of hope people manage to get PS VR working on PC as it's one of the main sticking points for me. I like the idea of backing by a big hardware/software manufacturer but I'd also like to check out the various little VR demos made by PC devs.

Sony have announced they've just reached a million of these. I don't know if that's of any interest to anyone but it seemed fairly good going to me for a pretty expensive peripheral.

Just received a VR sized windfall which has thrown my patient plans to wait for a Vive 2 into disarray. Seems like the worst time to buy first gen tech but worse than waiting with the money burning a hole in pocket?

Do it, I've had more then my money's worth from the VIVE.
