Cuphead
  • Soundtrack, visual style, pomo references... Everything. Artwise, this game does not stop giving. There are a few good vids about the game's intertextual references. One of my favourites is this one, obviously... If there's a Cuphead sequel, and it turns out to be a fighting game, I would not be surprised, at all. I'd also welcome the fuck out of it.

  • 74% done on this, I think.  Is it a 100% means all main levels thing, or 100% includes secret stages and whatnot (assuming there are any)?  Bee boss has been the lowpoint so far - shooting down while jumping up but dropping down if you press jump instead of fire just felt a touch too fiddly for me given the task at hand - almost the entirety of the rest of it has been great.  It's the best thing I've played in co-op since Donkey Kong Tropical Freeze.
