I'll be clean shaven for the first time in years on Thursday. Amusingly, I have been cast in a Crimewatch-style reconstruction for a current affairs show and the guy I'm playing didn't have any facial hair.
Which means that on my big TV break I'm going to look like a 12 year old lesbian.
Thankfully it grows quickly so I'll look male again by the weekend.
I have finally made the transition from stubble to beard and it feels great.
Rocking a long stubble (nimber 3 on hair trimmers I would say) wild beard.
Questions
1. Where/what are the best way/things to maintain shape. I was thinking comb and scissors for beard and continue with double edged razor for borders.
2. When do females stop admiring beard?? OH MY DAYYYYS THE ATTENTION!
Aim is to hit a point where beard can hold a biro unsupported.
It's very impressive Pez, but IMO it's now passed it's best. It's just starting to look like beard for beard's sake which personally I find problematic. I've just hacked about an inch and a half off mine for that very reason, and tbh I still need to go further. You're a good looking chap, but it's a fine line between being that and just that guy with the silly beard.
Haha, cheers man. It is definitely getting there, March will be the year(d) though so I'm giving it another 2 months then off to the barbers to reshape. Millington chap currently wears his like this:
I quite like the idea of having it neatened/shaped like this (probably not as long though). Thing is, it's quite addictive now, but I also don't want to look like a buffoon (some may say too late, natch). The sides will be the first to have the length taken off but I'd like to get a bit more on the chin and square that off like the above.
The other option is to just go full Blessed, although looking at them both now, I'm practically there...
Yeah I'll give it a cut next month.

Where do people stand on the fully-buttoned-up shirt thing now, actually.
Quite like it myself for tidiness but only when it isn't part of a full-on entry level 'trendy' identikit with the Brylcreem and the oldeskoole tattoos and that.
The wife has given me permission to grow a beard. Don't think it'll go well, but hey ho.
Ordered some wax and a comb from Amazon, would like an affordable brush of possible. Any ideas?

Depends what your beard's like, I'd guess. Mine's generally narrower than my 'tashe and has never reached more than an inch in length. If you're going for an all-over jobby, then I'd think a toothbrush wouldn't be anywhere near up to the task.
