He, his friend, and my colleague’s brother had started pre-pandemic, and partly through the pandemic, online, but had petered out. We’re nearing the end now, but over Christmas he bought Frosthaven. We’ve had a look through the box, it looks epic. Well finish Gloomhaven fairly soon, then I think we’ll take a breather playing other things over the summer, then start Frosthaven in the autumn. I’m quite excited for it; I’ve really enjoyed Gloomhaven, but having missed the first half, the overarching story has been a bit lost on me, it’ll be great to be part of a Frosthaven from the start. I was at theirs on Saturday. We had a great game of Dune (I came a close second to my colleague, who pretty much always wins) then we dove into the game her brother brought, Brass: Birmingham. It was my first time playing it, their second. We’ve got a feeling we’re missing something, though; the board and pieces indicate that we’re barely scratching the surface of what it’s possible to do in that game. At the end of the night I jumped in my car only to look at the clock and realise it was almost 3am. It’s a sign of a great night that I had no idea it was so late.
