Another good Doc Who, come at me h8ers.

I hate to say it, but I thought it was the first major mis-step of this series.  There were too many things that didn't really make sense.
    Spoiler:
etc etc etc.  I generally give plot holes and the like a pass in Doctor Who, because, well, it's Doctor Who - the entire premise is a plot hole - but these broke the cardinal rule of being plot holes that occurred to me whilst watching the episode, which kind of spoils the fun.

    I don't disagree, but:
    Spoiler:

Regardless this has been my favourite Moffat season so far, but there's still plenty of time for him to screw it up.

He jizzed after the Genie gave him a reacharound.

But seriously, that whole scene had me scratching my head.

It's funny how tastes vary innit, because I'm of the opinion that the current series has plumbed new depths of awfulness.
Be a dull world if we all liked the same things tho.

  • Took our time but finally finished Little Boy Blue. Stephen Graham take a bow. What a brilliant actor. There's always something bubbling under the surface with him. So good.

    Next up, The Keepers.

    NOOOOOOOOOOOO.

Just realised that we won't be getting a new Twin Peaks episode until next week.
It's a world of truck drivers.
  • Watch a random older episode, and pretend it's the next one.

Not a bad idea, but I think the penultimate episode of The Leftovers will do quite well. The traces of Twin Peaks and how it revolutionized the tv series are alive and well in that one.

Turns out Saturday's Doctor Who episode was a bit rough because Moffat's mother took ill and died while it was being written. Sad situation.

    I'm half way through.

Can't quite believe what I'm watching.

Did you see Making a Murderer?

It has similarities to Making a Murderer but I am finding it a far more emotional watch. Some really shocking stuff.

Also watched The Handmaids Tale this evening (noticed Channel 4 are showing it) and thought it was excellent. Insanely dark and uncomfortable but excellent.

    The Staircase trumps both.
  • The staircase has a major flaw.

I'm still great and you still love it.
  • Ha yeah, that's true. Or maybe it was the owl.
  • Well it's half six in the morning and we're on to Hey Duggee, having previously watched four episodes of The Twirlywoos.
  • Been watching Underground, and it's very good so far.
  • Enjoyed the extremely camp crabs in the Sandcastle Badge episode.  Now let's see whether they get their Football Badge.
  • The grumpy hedgehog's my favourite so far.
  • No fucking way, they only went and earned their Football Badge.
  • Shit just got real - no chance they'll earn the Puppet Show badge.
