Ah, into cuckolding porn, got it.
  • Watching someone in VR watching someone in VR watching you have sex with your own wife.

About ten hours I think. Although I'm not finished yet so I can't be sure.

As I'm about 15 hours into Alyx now and the end is nowhere in sight, I guess my ten hours estimate was quite a way off.
  • Yeah it's long, about the same as a normal half-life game. Have you tried aircar? It's free and not a game really but oh my, the atmosphere and shinies.

Big update or for Virtual Desktop, which apparently smooths pcvr and eliminates frame drops and stutters, making the overall experience much better. Will have a comparison with native Steam app when I get a chance.

In your option Kow, do you think Virtual Desktop is better?

I’ve got both and I thought it looked a little sharper on Alyx.

  • Another thing, I’ve not had PC for years and how important is it to update your USB drivers? I watched a YouTube video and they mention, it’s one of the first things you should with a cable and VR. And wouldn’t they get updated when you update Windows or is too much of a noob question?

The reason I ask, now that Steam VR isn’t crashing, I tried out my cable to my Quest and fuck me it looked a lot sharper but it looked like it was lightly smearing and screen tearing. I’ve read that it’s the Headset trying to reprojection and it’s causing the issue. I’ve read I can lower the resolution as it’s to help but if I hadn’t updated the USB drivers could that cause the issue?

I noticed it with Stormland where it had a little judder occasionally and with MS Flight Simulator. I didn’t get it with Lone Echo though, is that because it’s a slower and less demanding game?

Hope that made some sort of sense.

  • Try turning reprojection off. You certainly won't need it for Alyx. Most hardware drivers should update themselves with windows.

  • Also try Aircar! No problem with a cable as you're sitting down. It's like being in Blade Runner for reals.

  • And if your PC can handle it try upping the super sampling in the steamVR menu.

Haven't had a chance to look at it yet but Alyx looks pretty sharp through the Steam app.

Going to have a look at this Aircar now.
  • I don't understand why anyone hasn't fleshed it out into a bigger game. You only have the powerups to find but the controls become nice after you get used to them. It makes some people vom but it's great for getting your VR legs.

Where would I find that? In the Steam VR app I guess.

I didn’t have problems with Squadrons. The cockpit helped minimise the nausea.
  • Yeah SSS is great. Your GPU might be able to handle it with Alyx. It's very well optimised so try bumping it up a bit. You can do it on the fly (hit the steamVR button equivalent) during a game and do it until it messes with the fps.

Yeah, Aircar is a bit nausea inducing, but it's nice for a short trip`.
  • Did you land anywhere? There are helipad type things for picking up extra speed thingies. Landing is good for getting the hang of the controls. Slow and steady does the job.

Nah, it wouldn't work with the Quest controllers so I had to use an old xbox controller, which has a stuck stick making it annoying to fly around.

Cheers. For me, it more often than not crashes when I press the left home button. I guess I can set it up before I play anything.

Another thing, can I stop the feed of me playing VR on my screen? Wouldn’t that help by giving the pc more resources or doesn’t it work like that?
