Four Lord Souls get. Four Kings first time, solo and on last gulp of Estus. A decent boss. Bed of Chaos probably ten tries. Utter shit.

It's a shame that they ran out of time or budget with this game as there's a decent amount of jank for something so revered. Visually I really like the sense of scale in the later levels, but it's often spoilt by some cut and pasted former bosses. Like the Ambasaddor serving pebbles rather than Ferrero Rocher. The Remaster is anything but, they didn't even fix the comedy ragdolls, which weigh grams and ping around the levels at incredible speeds.

I really felt like they should have built up to and ended with O&S. Something as simple as they are the kings of the castle. Defeating them is the best bit of the game for me, and the most meaningful and memorable feeling fight. As with most From games I think the humanoid enemies work best.

Having to let Seath kill you first time is bullshit and I hate the Crystal caves, the darkness of the Tomb of Giants is one thing but invisible platforms are just shit. But when it's good there's nothing like it, the atmosphere, and sense of satisfaction are immense. Again, like all From games, I deleted it repeatedly as it kept taking over my brain. And I kept going back. Only Gwyn and the DLC left to do. I've not seen the DLC before.

Can't wait to see what From do next.
