My Pokemon Go plus arrived yesterday and I took out for a test hunt before the rain arrived. Seemed to work fine and my 6 year old son can now wander down the street without constantly holding my phone in front of his face. He still feels the need to check his wrist every 3 paces.

I took the plus with me to our local half marathon event yesterday (no, I wasn't running). It was pretty handy for harvesting items and catching pokemons without constantly getting my phone out and bumping into people.
Also went out on Saturday evening with my son and his mates. We all caught a Gengar each except for one kid who had just run out of balls. He was pretty upset about it and had to be walked to the nearest pokestop to top up, by which time the Gengar was long gone. Traumatised for life now.

If you are a serious stardust grinder, I'd avoid it, catch rate is awful. High level players will also struggle on catches also.
I'd also suggest, if you see a yellow light on the plus, whip your phone out & don't leave it to the one throw Bluetooth gods.
There is a convenience to it tho & it also has a better detect range than your avatars circle. It also keeps the distance being logged on your buddy/eggs whilst paired. I like it, but if I'm on dust farm it stays off.
does it automatically catch pokemon or do you still throw like on a phone?
He could've just said they came from another planet but seems keen to convince people with his bullshit pseudoscience that he knows stuff. I wouldn't trust him with my lunch. - SG
If anyone has a desire for further Sun/Moon appetite whetting, the CITV channel are showing the recent movie that has the first Sun/Moon event Pokemon in it this weekend, as well as the first two episodes of the Sun/Moon anime.
"ERE's like Mr. Muscle, he loves the things he hates"
i can't wait for sun and moon, have changed versions 3 or 4 times, but have decided on Sun.
1: Lions.
2: I didn't realise the difference in time of day was still dependent on your in game clock, it's just that moon is night during the day, and day during the night. That seems a bit silly to me.
I somehow found myself preordering both the steel books a month or two ago, and seeing as I found the first couple of hours of World of Final Fantasy utterly wretched, I guess I'm ready for some pocket monsters.
Really looking forward to this. I'm also very happy that trainer customisation is in again.
I've thought about ordering 2 versions in the past (X and Y) but really they should just have save slots from now on. I really want to replay Y but don't want to erase my current play through. I guess I could just restart as everything is in the poke bank.
I mentioned in the 3DS thread that I got hold of a dodgy copy last week to give this a try. It turns out a lot of idiots have been using the online stuff and have since been banned from using their DS online! Fools.
Anyway,my initial impressions of the game were good, although the usual slow start still applies. I've deleted my dodgy version now, but might put it on my Christmas list, would be a good Boxing Day game!
Yeah I was pop until just this evening when my partner said rowlett was cuter. Then the Final evo look (why da fuq is he an owl) stuff looked cool all of a sudden.
Ah shit. Thanks, that's definitely worth knowing in advance. Everyone saves in the centres!
Because you have to save and then turn the system off for the bug to happen, I'm guessing anyone reviewing would be leaving their system on anyway so would never have encountered it?
Ah, turns out it isn't a bug in the game really, it's a bug in PKHeX (software for people who play around with their save data to add shiny pokemon and play with stats etc).
