So Wii U is getting Mass Effect 3. I'm wondering why its not getting Mass Effect Trilogy like they did with Metroid Prime for the Wii.

Yes, Pikmin looked great, and obviously at some point there'll be a proper mario, a MK etc, but it was wide open for them to get the core back onboard with Nintendo, especially after the dismal MS and Sony shows, but for me they fell way short.

I think I was similarly disappointed with last year's E3.Â It seems to be a theme now.Â

I missed the Pikmin part of Nintendo's conference, but as I didn't get round to playing the other two I can't say I'm too fussed.Â It does seem a shame that the Wii U seems stuck between generations, with no immediate must-buy exclusives, while the other two companies nicked the extra screen idea anyway.Â Another 2D Mario will sell, if the previous sales figures are anything to go by, but isn't quite interesting enough for me to buy the console for (especially as I haven't got all the coins in the last one, and I've still got Rayman Origins to play).

Demo of that Ubisoft Zombie game on Gametrailers just now. Surprisingly similar to Day Z in a console sort of way. Looks interesting anyway.

Actually, that GT bit did far more for me than the show demo did.

I must be in such a minority, I had no interest in this, absolutely no interest at all in getting one and now (depending on rrp) I'll be there from day one.

Unfortunately I'm in the camp where if there's a game I like I'll happily pay for the kit to play it on...

The dude being interviewed said the difference was that P-100 focusses on the group working as one as opposed to Pikmin where it is Olimar has a group of Pikmin to use as individual entities.Â

Fucks knows if I know how that relates to gameplay differences though.

P-100 looks like it could be something different and fun. Not really enough though.

It is amazing how Nintendo seem to make exactly the wrong games so often. I bet most 'core' fans would have gone for an F-Zero, or a proper Starfox, or a 3D Mario, or a comprehensive new Pilotwings, or a good reboot for Metroid, or even another Zelda. Instead they go for Pikmin, 2D Mario, and Luigi. Odd choices.

Typically things like Mario and Zelda take a long time to make, I guess. Â I don't doubt that the biggies are well into development. Â It would certainly be nice to see some dormant franchises such as F-Zero, Wave Race and 1080 Snowboarding back on the Wii U though.
