Aye, I’ve seen that one used as well. He’s sort of just Cooper to me now. The breed’s not really important now that he’s got a wee personality of his own.
I've had Candy into work the last couple of nights. I've been on nightshift, and normally my folks help look after her, let her out for her last pee at night and tuck her into bed, but they're down in London for a few days. I didn't realise until it was too late to book her into the kennels. Rather than leave her at home all night, she came in and spent a couple of nights in the muster room.
It's amazing the effect dogs have on people. Every single person who came in over the course of the two nights melted when they saw her, and came over to say hello. She's got more friends at my work than I do, now.
First time in a garden (he can’t walk far enough yet to reach the park from home), first time in a pub, and then a day out at a festival for dogs (the Dogs Trust annual fundraiser). He met literally hundreds of dogs and humans. Not fazed even a little bit.
Love this photo from yesterday afternoon – he hung out with my pal’s massive labradoodle for a while. The thing is huge and 100% muscle under that daft fur. Can’t get over how much this photo looks like they’ve just agreed a SERIOUS BUSINESS ARRANGEMENT and are shaking on it.
I’m always amazed at how dogs seem to have no concept of their own size. Those two were wrestling like best pals, despite Cooper only being the size of Peggy-Sue’s head.
It’s like they just think “I’m a dog, so are you. Let’s go.”
