Unraveling the intricacies of Riven was one of the high points of gaming during my teenage years. Never much cared about the others, they were more like theme parks; Riven was a real world.
Well, the only one I've played in recent years was Riven, and that really is IMO just one of the very best point/click adventure/puzzle games. You really have to think outside the box, take notes, and be exta observant. Didn't quite completely crack it last time, need to have another solid run at getting it all done. It's the sort of game that can really stump as a kid, whereas I think III is much more accessible, and still visually stunning. Really like the FMV integration, Myst V's mo-cap people just didn't look as good to me.
I finally got around to replacing my old creaky white unibody MacBook this morning. It’s gotten to the point when opening excel takes an age and forget about trying to build a PowerPoint, it’s been useless for work for a while.
So I ordered myself a new windows laptop (my first windows system in about 10 years) on a finance deal which should arrive Monday.
Quite looking forward to it, it’s an i5 processor with 8gb ram, 256gb SSHD and a decent graphics card that’ll handle most modern games on High so can actually get stuck in to some PC gaming too!
Woo!
Not everything is The Best or Shit. Theres many levels between that, lets just enjoy stuff.
I don’t really know, it’s mainly for myself and my wife to use for work but I know I’ll end up with WoW reinstalled at some point (though I suspect it’s not gonna hold my interest long these days)

That’s cool, like I said it’s mainly for work stuff and anything recent I’d prefer to play on console anyway but might be nice to be able to pick up games I missed from a few years back on steam on the cheap
