He should find much there to enjoy. Takes a good couple of hours to amble through it all. Make sure he's booked a ticket in advance tho, cos they do give you a specific time to come.

It's nice and sunny here. We did the boat trip that takes you right under the falls, you get pretty damn wet! Otherwise it's walking around and gawping at them. There is this section which is like some cheap holiday town, full of arcades, haunted houses, Ripley's believe or not, mini golf etc etc. Was not what I was expecting!

Yeah I've heard they've commercialised it.

My friend did a haunted house when he went and said it was terrifying. Much worse than he ever thought it would be.

Ah London!
Visiting my mate out West Ham way and it takes me two hours and a dozen changes of plans to get there because I run into some fecking black lives matter demo that's shut down Stratford bus station in its entirety.
So we go out for a meal and she gives me duff info about how late the tube runs to get me home to Queensway and I get stranded at Liverpool St station after dashing into the only train going back into London at this hour.
Now I'm in an über with some crazy black dude that's costing me a fortune.

it's all good holiday fun!

Awesome. Checked out of hotel. Got fifty yards down the road, and one of the wheels comes off my suitcase.
Must be time to go home.

Train not til half three, so I've taken the executive decision to sit on a park bench in Kensington Gatdens for a couple of hours and watch the hot ladies jogging by.
There are undoubtably worse ways to kill time.

Flights to Edinburgh booked for late November. Shorter trip than initially planned due to holiday commitments elsewhere but looking forward to it, plenty to pack in to a few days then a wedding at the end of it.

Looking at airbnb to sort out accommodation, hopefully found a decent looking flat near Northumberland Street/Dundas Street which seems handy enough. Just need to remember to pick up an English to Scottish dictionary too. I should say something about pumping fuds, right?

So it's now 49 days to the big one - our 2 week holiday to Cali-fucking-fornia!

We're flying into LA, 2 days in Anaheim then 1 in Hollywood - doing Disneyland & Universal for the kids. Then we're driving up to San Fran on the Pacific Coast Highway, via Pismo Beach, Monteray & a detour to Yosemite before the last 3 days in SF.

So, those of you in the know - recommendations for food, sights, experiences please!

It's my first time in the USA - so looking forward to it.

Oh, don't worry about food, it's everywhere.

In LA, visit the Bladerunner building (it's free and pretty), at the other side of the street is some kinda food market, it's nice for the atmosphere alone.

Along the pch, go to Hearst Castle of you have time, that guy collected stuff from all around the world and put it in his house.

I had a very good sandwich in SF, need to search the archives for that though.

I'll try to think of more LA places, we usually go there for gigs so not really into the touristic things. It doesn't feel like a real city, it's a strange one.

Disneyland is amazing, really need to go back there. Indiana Jones ride is awesome.

Going camping or all hotels /pre arranged stuff?

If camping, there's a nice one on the racetrack near SF (forgot the name, it's in Gran Turismo). We ended up there in the dark, was quite a sight to wake up to.

Pacific Coast highway is awesome. There's a beach along it which is full of sea lions. Hearst Castle is a good shout. Pismo and Monteray are really nice coast towns so just walk along the beach front, the boardwalks etc and relax.

Yosemite though...That's just an amazing place. How long do you have there?
