Astral projection Luke fits in perfectly with this.
See that wasnt even a thing in the movie. Nobody was doubting Luke or his ability, they treated finding him as a life or death matter of uttermost importance. I dunno, this movie feels very disjointed from TFA.Roujin wrote:Yeah i stated it had already been done in a game. Just an example like. Use your imaginations, anything other than the astral projection. Maybe Luke uses the force to keep a giant set of hangar doors open to let the resistance escape during a first order bombardment and he's literally trying to hold the whole thing together so peeps can escape and they have to leave him and they look back on their way out and the whole thing collapses on him. Throw in some slow no, have him whisper something profound sounding right at the end. Fucking sad times guys, hand me a tissue, luke just sacrificed himself to save the resistance. Maybe they doubted him the whole film cos he wouldn't intervene prior and people were like 'this guy is full of shit he can't help us' and now they're all 'ah fuck he was the real deal and we kind if treated him like shiiiiiit' Anything other than hologram tupac.

Roujin wrote:I woukd have liked to see just one single, colossal, demonstration of his power that kills him in the process. No saber fighting. Just nothing the whole film other than doing his best to carefully pass on what he can to Rey with memories of Kylo on his mind and then just one fucking huge redemptive spectacle witnessed by many that turns the tide of an impossible situation for the resistance.
Would have been fucking mint.
Fuck I'm almost tearing up at the thought of it if they did it right.
But no. Dead in a cave innit.
This. As much my main gripe is around the way Luke is used, the film really messes with it's own trilogy too.superflyninja wrote:I dunno, this movie feels very disjointed from TFA.
