Time for annual work trip to Amsterdam next week. I shamelessly copy/pasted all of @nina previous advise but i probably won't get to any of it by the time work is done food is eaten and beer is drunk the only thing on my mind will be more beer.
I hear it's all changed now. When I lived in Holland we were in Amsterdam all the time. The Red Light was just a nuts area, always smashed on something, stumbling from coffee shop to club to bar, through the freak show until the sun came up.
To be fair, Amsterdam has had that reputation for much longer than the relatively modern era of out of their face tourists. Plus, take it away and there's not much reason to go there.
Supposed to be getting a £150 voucher for Easyjet Holidays after my phone upgrade, but mine and hers timings with work and getting time off isn't working out so we won't be able to use it, it looks like.
Tenerife - I always think it's going to be a bit shit but it's always great fun. Gone self catering for the first time in a long time and as the kids adjust to not being able to stuff their faces on demand were actually getting our and about more than we probably would all inclusive.
Sitting at the pool at the moment next to a proper Manc family some of the shittest back tattoos I've ever seen. I think one is supposed to be Humphrey Bogart and John Wayne either side of a Western Saloon bar (?) But they actually look like their reanimated corpses. Brilliant.
Salud! The weather's a bit fickle at the mo as we're just heading into the rainy (for here) part of the year, but I hope you and your family have a great time.
