Wish I could endorse a cheaper set, but the budget ones plastic frames often creak/are uncomfortable/have tinny mics. CEX (spit) may have a pair if you’re able to trade sometings in.
retroking1981: Fuck this place I'm off to the pub.
Another thing to bear in mind are headsets that have a woven fabric cord - my bother in law has an otherwise great headset that causes him all sorts of Comms issues with the cord rubbing against the mic.
It's true. I said that was my last night on the smokes and it's starting to look like I meant it. Rolling leaf or tobacco nut from Iceland, £1 per pot of jollop. I don't love it (vaping) but it does the job.
Ok.
I love BF2, now, despite skating it on launch.
Things to know.
The grind is real and you will suck at first purely because you don't have the unlocks, it sucks but it is worth sticking with it. Hopefully they will do a double xp weekend when it hits Access.
If you want to level quickly and get a feel for the game start with Strike. No Heroes and smaller teams allow for an easier transition.
Starfighter Assault is pretty much a separate bonus game and is fantastic but it won't help you level in the other modes.
However you want to go into the control settings and fiddle with sensitivity settings and turn zoom to toggle.
Playing first person is fun but third person works better.
Officer is the easiest class to gain battlepoints, use their squad enhance (lb+rb) on spawn and you will gain lots of points. Dice are looking at balancing it but haven't yet.
Bob's Fett is shit, don't pick Fett unless you want to run away in Heroes v Villians.
Lol.
To be fair to them, they are still supporting the game slowly. In fact since Battlefield V went gold they have done a fair bit to it.
2 new heroes, a new map, lots of bug fixes. 2 more heroes and another map coming next month.
The support for it is alright considering it would have supposed to have been paid for by loot crates, the game didn't even sell well. They realistically could have just dropped it. I get the impression it is all Dice not EA.
Can anyone think of any decent Xbox One games that aren't on Gamepass, don't cost much and aren't ancient enough to make me look like a shit uncle when I give one to my 13yr old nephew as a birthday pressie? I've gone big for Crimbo so I'll be going small for his stupidly timed birthday on Boxing Day. I haven't kept track of prices recently, some games drop faster/further than others.
