The Lighthouse looks interesting, but I think the independent theatre I like to go to only showed that for a weekend, so probably missed that. It's also not one I want to watch by myself.hylian_elf wrote:Parasite booked for the 8th Feb. Exciting! It costs me at least £20 in total for a movie trip to central at the weekend. Can’t justify many times. So I’m gonna wait until The Lighthouse hits my local and Weathering With You on disc.

Here's a funny thing, I watched Alien just the other day, having never actually seen it before - I'd seen Aliens and 3, but the original just never crossed my scope, don't even recall missing it on TV.XOMuggins wrote:And now a watch of Alien on Bluray. The six film bluray collection is arriving tomorrow!

Anyway, whilst I obviously can't go back 40 years to judge it as it was, my modern hot take is it's a bit naff. First half is good as it sets the scene etc., but once the alien is on board (and magically fully grown) it just seemed to go really dumb horror film, that wasn't particularly tense or scary.

Watch November already
What you want is the Alien Anthology box. This is the one I have:ShabbyMcCrabby wrote:I really want to get the alien quadrilogy set but there's so many boxset versions that it's actually hard to find the right one. I want the one that has all the bonus features but a lot of them seem to just be the base movies.XOMuggins wrote:And now a watch of Alien on Bluray.
