Watcher is too focused for me on ...focus. I prefer the fluidity of Silent - she's more nuanced and adaptable, but each to their own. More elegance and less number crunching.
You can survive blasphemy if you have an intangible charge for the turn after you play it, I believe it reduces the 99999 damage you take to 1hp just like any other damage. Maybe they patched it, but it's a pretty rare occurrence. I think orange pellets might also be able to clear the effect as well.
Edit: Just checked, the Blasphemy effect is a buff so no orange pellets, but a buffer charge will block the damage as well as intangible apparently.
"Let me tell you, when yung Rouj had his Senna and Mansell Scalextric, Frank was the goddamn Professor X of F1."
Often my fave character is whichever one I’m playing as at the time, but there are def characters I play more often. With that in mind I’d rank it as ironclad, silent, watcher then defect in that order. The largest gap being between watcher and defect. In fact the only thing I feel certain of is that defect is the weakest character
There have been quite a few times where the watcher has been my fave. Scry is a great mechanic, and iirc it’s the only character I managed to go infinite with. Plus comfortably smashing as many act 1 elites as possible is a great way to start any run.
Managed to get juggernaut, and ALL the other status cards are great supers to work. Died on final boss again, but oh my days.
Had upgraded dual wield too., with zero cost body slam. Oh my days. When it worked, I had 100+ block on occasion with 3 body slams in hand, and usually vulnerable on enemies. Lol.
Final boss again. Dammit. Fell into corruption/snecko again because it presented itself, but didn't get a 4 energy relic at act 2 boss so act 3 was up hill.
That's me up to Asc4 on all characters now. Just did it with Silent, breezing through act 3 with Corpse Explosion as a starting card doing all the heavy lifting. Beat Unawakened too - with patience, poison and power cards after his regen.
Videos are good though. Anyone who wants to know more about how the game works, or thinks they have it sussed should watch a bunch of Jorbs stuff to have their mind peeled open.
Yeah I have watched a few of his runs but that series seems particularly useful.
There are still cards I know I dont fully understand even with Silent who I have done dozens of runs with.
Was going to take break from this, as I wasn't getting anywhere with my Asc4 runs and it was getting mucho frustrato. Then I demolished it with Defect with a load of Defrag+ cards and I'm back in it.
I’ve hit a brick wall clearly at around Asc 8/10 where my dumb dumb brain just can’t deal with the tweaked difficulty. Have about 4-8 hours of Defect and Ironclad grinding under my belt, not a single win. Miserable times.
