Want a medium sized monitor that has solid picture quality at a decent price. I have a good ultrawide but want something a bit more portable to move around the house with my laptop, as I am going crazy just in my home office.
Going in the living room to replace a 10 year old 42 inch Panasonic. Can really go any bigger in size. I think viewing angles should be fine as i will have the tv at the same angle as current tv.
The Samsung seems a good deal (same price as the LG at Curryz), but the LG UI is more responsive.
The LG one is an IPS panel, the Samsung one is a VA one. The LG will have better viewing angles and the Samsung one will likely have better overall picture quality.

Is there a way to tell what the maximum weight a tv wall bracket can take? When we moved in the tv brackets were left behind. Theres one in the kitchen and one in the bedroom. Theres no documentation or manufacturers name on the brackets that i can see. Worry if i mount a 43 inch tv in either room and the whole thing falls down.
It’s usually how the brackets are fastened that are the cause of failures. So I’d sort of yank the bracket a bit and make sure there’s no movement on the wall. If there is then take it off and re-fix it with new plugs and bolts.
I can’t think of a way of actually testing the bracket though without their being some kind of marking on the bracket.
Cheers guys. One of the brackets i found a stick which states the weight it can support and tv size. Luckily its on a wall i can see the other side of (door for a small space that holds the cold water tank). Anyway where the bracket has been installed has been reinforced with wood beams attached to the stud wall.
No info for kitchen one, but had a look at the original pics for the house when we came across it online and they had a large tv mounted, looks like a 42 inch to me. Though cant be sure.
Anyway should be good. My old Panasonic 43 inch weights 17kg and the new 43 inch LG that we are considering weights 9kg. Progress for you hey?
