The series go something like this:
Ghosts and Goblins --> Ghouls and Ghosts --> Super Ghouls and Ghosts.
The last one is kind of a Capcom Super remix of Ghouls and Ghosts with stuff like mode 7 added and a revamped weapon magic sytem and useless double jump.
