So it would seem the Apple products in my house have decided to forget how to connect to the internet through wifi. It connects to the wifi but then says there ain't no internet even though every other wifi device I use has no issues.
The google search websites come up with the usual bullshit of turning things on and off again or forgetting the wifi info and reconnecting but those haven't fixed the issue from cropping up again. Anyone else encountered this and found a fix?
I have some iPhone regrets. Some stuff is great but there’s been so many design choices in this thing that make me cranky. I’m sure I’ll learn to live with it. Or just change back to android down the line.
Yeah I did that and it worked for a little while but then happened again. Networking problems always frustrate me as it’s never totally clear where the issue is. Usually involves a lot of testing and poking and prodding.
You can probably mostly ignore me as I was tired and cranky and the continuing wifi problem made me crankier.
Although I would like the ability to place my apps wherever I want instead having to play the shuffle game where you have to think about if you drag it there then it’ll cascade and actually end up over there.
Also I have a big phone but I can’t change how many apps I have on each page.
Also the implementation of widgets they have is very limited for now, partly because of how locked down the placement is of things.
Also the autocorrect is so very very strong and it changes a word when you hit send! Like I have the word written I want to send and then it changes at a point I can’t undo it!
Also I was surprised that some apps seem to be more limited on apple when I thought it would be the opposite due to the locked in architecture. How Discord manages chat notifications is one.
How prevalent ads are in the store when you search. Always top result. It’s gross.
There’s also just the Apple thing of them thinking they know best and that’s the only option. Why does turning wifi off in the control centre turn it off until tomorrow? I want it off off.
Etc etc.
Just whingings I know but I suppose I hadn’t realised how ingrained so much of my phone usage stuff had become and how apple didn’t really align with that. I’ll get used to it I’m sure. I did have a mini anxiety attack as I slowly realised the things I wasn’t able to do when I initially set it up
I've just done the ios 15 update on my phone and the browser changes can fuck right off. Someone needs chucked in the gulag for putting the address bar at the bottom of the page
Cheers yoss.
Though now I'm annoyed they don't give the option of tab mode at the top!
Which is another twat move really to force the change if you want new functionality instead of just adding the function to the top bar
So I was the same but decided to stick with it, cos a move like that didn't come on a whim so maybe there was something to it, and now I'd never go back. One handed browsing has become so much easier
weird how it works, sometimes change is good despite the effort (for me, YMMV)
