He'll most likely get the republican nomination but lose the election next year badly. Obama is on the ball, there's no way Trump can be president.

There's a fear in the republican party because they know his nomination means a clear victory for the democrats.

The fact that I'm not the youngest on here terrifies me.

Quick version - I got meningitis a couple of weeks before my 18th birthday. 

Longer version - The meningitis pretty quickly progressed to full septicaemia.  The GP was called and completely missed the diagnosis (bloody doctors).  My mother called 5 times, and was ultimately told to "stop being so neurotic" by the surgery.

By the time a GP arrived again the next morning I was hallucinating, and had descended into full delirium.  (My favourite example is that I vividly remember at one point my mother escorting me down the stairs - I felt embarrassed at needing help, particularly as the piano tuner was stood at the bottom of the stairs and so I turned  to tell her that I could manage on my own.  That's my memory anyway.  In reality the piano tuner was actually a doctor.  We didn't have a piano.  And I didn't tell my Mum I could manage on my own, I punched her in the face.)

I'm told the doctor went straight to the phone and called an ambulance.  I then spent about 5 days in a coma, during which time my Mum was told "if he's lucky he'll have brain damage".  My only two memories from that time are sudden pain in my back which I presume was the lumbar puncture, and believing I was a character in seminal Holocaust comic Maus - standing around with other mice and pulling apart cables to get at the wires within them.  (The cable turned out to be my drip, which I was apparently fond of removing at any available opportunity.)

I can rabbit on for ages about weird things my brain did whilst  subjected to the combination of pressure and infection, but you get the idea.  Whilst unlucky to have got the meningitis to begin with, I was incredibly fortunate to survive, statistically at least I should have been dead on that first day before I even got near the hospital.

When I was about 7 I had a fever and saw pixies on bicycles riding around the ceiling, and lots of people coming into the room and disappearing into the wardrobe. It was fun apart from the vomiting.

Isn't there some established cause / phenomena that shows why new music is shit to aging people along with why new tech or processes are unfathomable.... something like progress stops with you?
