Just checked in to a deserted golf hotel in the middle of nowhere (well Oxford is closest big town) and I'm here for 4 days on a course work asked me to go on. There is literally no one here. I have the sports restaurant to myself. Watching the barca v villareal game with a beer while I wait for my food. Hope the food is OK as it's a 20 minute drive to closest subway, pizza place etc.
Thought I'd check out the gym and it closes at 6pm daily. Really? My course doesn't finish till 5pm everyday. So no gym then. So then I thought I'd check out the sauna and steam room. They are closed and apparently not very good. Just my luck.
Only silver cloud is I'm a 5 minute drive from the course venue.

When the dust clears you realise you are in the function room. It is dark apart from the light coming through the window from the car park. It appears empty apart from some chairs and tables pushed up against one of the walls.
Come down to breakfast at 8:15am. It's been open since 6am. Apparently I'm the first person they've had come down. Starting to think I'm the only guest. And apparently there is snow on the way...
