Felt pretty good. More corporate than I thought, big focus on KPI's and overall store performance. Some changes to budgets and target that'll need getting used to but otherwise it feels a good fit. Slightly less money than I was on in the same role in hmGav but the chance for progression is much, much greater. The guy sitting in on it was a former Game employee, had only been there 18mths and he's now on more money than my AM in hmGav.
Stuff to ponder if it goes well. Fingers and toes crossed.
Still no word from CEX, despite being told I'd know either way "by the end of the week", which I'd assume to be that Friday there. Maybe he's been super busy this Easter weekend, maybe he's misspelled my email address lol and there's an acceptance email just out there in the ether meant for me.
Either way, nerves/dread/impending extreme sadness at my own circumstances as a result, incoming.
I'm gonna email tomorrow if there's been nothing tonight.
I realise that being customer facing you've probably been at it all weekend Gav, but the corporate teams such as HR (and possibly even the AMs) may have been off since last Thursday so I wouldn't be surprised that even if the store manager that interviewed your may have made a decision he hasn't yet managed to get a formal reply or ok for his decision from somone signing off in the back office. It's even possible that Easter may throw everything of for the rest of the week as well.
No harm in a follow up tomorrow though. Good luck!
No, no, I get all that. Cheers for the reassurance. It's just the worst when you think that's it and you pull down the notification menu to find its just Twitter telling me that Harry Styles tweeted something two days ago. Infuriating!
Not often enough - if that was two days ago you're way behind. I'm almost certain Lewis Hamilton will have posted at least twenty updates on how fucking rich he is in that time, for example.
