After a thread dedicated to it in here, a ton of people playing it on my Switch friends list, and a glowing 9/10 review for it in EDGE, I picked up Hollow Knight.
So far, it's two thumbs up.

Severed on Switch. It's a big old screen to play one handed, Vita may have been a better bet for this one. Looks lovely though, plus the battle system is legit. I'd like to know if I;m supposed to be exploring each area fully or whether I return later with extra keys etc. I'm through the first dungeon proper, but the map suggests I've only explored 19% of it. Is the idea to keep on keeping on or to fully explore as and when you can? I've got the urge to push forward, but 81% of an area is a lot to leave behind.
World one of Astro Bot clocked and it's absolutely wondrous; fun to play and so god damn cheerful. This may well be the happiest game I've ever played, the only thing that comes close is Katamari. The one single complaint I have, other than the usual issues with Sony's tracking tech, is that the scenery doesn't dance in time to the music, like in Mario games.
Playing through Wolfenstein: the new order.
Post 2016 with the rise of fascism worldwide it's quite the experience. Very slick and entertaining nazi-shooter.
Surprised this game and it's sequel aren't being review bombed by the alt-right kids.
Vaguely remember the 2nd being review bombed on initial release, aye. Seems the alt right kiddies have given up the fight as review scores are back to normal.
As for Wolfenstein new order, really enjoying it.
Initial controller config for the DS4 was shit tho, needed to tweak analogue stick settings before the they felt comfortable.

Stardew Valley. It’s the very definition of busywork. It requires no skill. It’s just making numbers go up; and with slightly bigger numbers, slightly better things start to fall within your reach. And then you can make the numbers go up a bit more. While also feeling the pressure to donate progress to museums or community centres. In a relentless, repetitive cycle.

And I fucking love it. I kinda bounced off of it when it first came out on Switch. Not exactly, I didn’t dislike it, but it didn’t get its claws in me. That’s not the case now. I’m 40 hours in, in Summer of my second year. I’ve got chickens, cows, I’m just getting into making jam and beer, and I’ve got a steady-ish income from a solid block of 36 (once the last few mature) trees each with a tapper attached. And I want bees, and loads of crab-pots, and all of the things. And I’m this close to making Abigail my girlfriend. Which is a sad thing for an almost 40 year old single man to write, but there we are.
