I'm sure it's great, I'll go and watch a let's play of it, but listening to Jeff Gerstmann on the Giant Bomb goty stuff and his entire playthrough resonated with how I feel. Give me one sense of direction beyond the moon, because at the moment I'm just flying to random places, occasionally finding a wee swirl to translate and then dying or getting swept off planet, and it's just not fun.
I'm absolutely resolute that I'm in the minority here, and that there's something I'm missing, or one thing I need to do in order to get better, reminiscent of my attempts at Dark Souls, but I have so many other things to play, and things I'm seriously enjoying at the minute (hello Disco Elysium, Dragon Quest XI and Judgment) that why the fuck bother banging my head off a wall for some supposed breakthrough when I'm on my holidays at the minute and this is the best time to plough stuff that genuinely interests me.
So, see ya. I'm sure you are good.
Me too. Not that I didn't make progress, it just never really felt like it. It was information that suggested I should look at another place, or explore the same place for the 3rd or 4th time because I'd missed something or ran out of time before.regmcfly wrote:It wasn't the controls that put me off in Wilds - they're learnable and there's enough assists - it was just the sense I was making fuck all progress.
