It was called Married For Life iirc.
One episode was scenario and word for word identical, but they somehow managed to make it not funny.

I remember hearing about that, its a shame MWC never caught on over here. It was before the pre Friends craze when the amount of US shows on UK TV seemed to explode.

I know it's not the best show but it's honestly one of my all time favourites. Classic stuff and one of the USA's longest running sitcoms. Shame it never got a proper send off, I remember hearing Ed O'Neill was actually very upset about that.
