Gameplay wise, this game looks much more interesting than 5. They've packed so much shit in behind the drive system, it's impossible not to be impressed. My favourite thing so far is losing ex meter for playing like a pussy. And the fact that it seems so easy to understand (at least as a spectator) is a marvel.

Still not a fan of the art style though. And I still don't fully trust Capcom's marketing department. So I definitely won't be in on day one

Atif Butt won apparently. The dominance of the Pakistani FGC in Tekken is a mental thing. The way that group of players came out of the other side of the Covid lockdowns to basically do to the Tekken community, what the Mexican FGC does to KoF, is fascinating.

Especially with the aspersions people cast at Capcom over 'Westernising' SF5 -> 6 mechanics.

A very different game, sure, but the same questions about culture abide. Perhaps even more so than Streetfighter actually, because Tekken, along with Starcraft 2, are basically national sports in Korea.

The idea of Idom winning this for a second time doesn't look far fetched right now.
