Game looks great. When I first saw 5 I was totally underwhelmed, this looks fantastic. Probably maining ‘gief or Marisa from the looks of it. In on day1.
We had a house session in Kneecap's gaff last night, and someone brought a laptop with the SF6 beta crack.
It's pretty damn good.
I wasn't too impressed with what I'd seen, but having everything explained by people who've been grinding it for months, and then myself and a few other learning on the fly was great.
Really looking forward to it getting released now. Just have to hope that the netcode, cross play and matchmaking work well.
Street Fighter 6 Demo is available on all platforms now.
Can mess around with the world tour mode or play Vs locally. Only Ryu and Luke can be selected.
Full release on the 2nd of June.
KOF XV has a crossplay beta on all platforms for the next three days. It's a separate download from the main game. Beta is completely free and includes all characters.
The full game is on sale on Xbox now. I bought the deluxe edition, and all additional DLC for less than the regular price of deluxe edition this morning.
The main game is great fun. I've been playing lots of 1v1 with the CPU around level 6 and 7 and I find its got the rare balance of being a challenge but not being too cheap. (Level 8 is a bit too much for me). I love how the controls feel, and all the new tools (which are just variations on old things really) are great. Is this the first SF game since 2 that has no normal dizzys? I know you can get stunned if your drive meter is maxed out but there doesnt seem to be any other way to stun the opponent - I quite like it.
The graphics are a bit "hmmph". The video footage looked better but I'm guessing that was all ps5/ series x level. The series s version is... ok? It has that low tier look where you kinda notice detail is scaled back. Maybe its just me but I felt the game was disappointing and art decisions aside not much of an improvement on the 8 year old SFV. The animation is better though and I'll take that over background stuff that I wouldn't notice once playing.
Bit as others say, its very much a game of two halves and the other half is terrible. About the best I can say is that the idea is interesting but the execution is awful. It feels like a bad roblox game. If theres a lot more work to be done on this mode, they shouldnt have included it in the demo. If not, I'm not sure who its aimed at because it feels too different to the main game.
I'm down for SF6 but very much for the regular game only.
Finally finished the story in World Tour. Good thing you didn't have to win the second last fight. Now I can just grind out mini games for money to get gifts for the masters so I can get all of the costumes.
