I've been working on a cardboard display unit for loo cleaner.
We are on the 9th redesign and it has been going on for 6 months. I just find it funny now.
One of my clients makes so many revisions that I changed the versioning system for them. Instead of just v1, v2 etc, I use v1a, v1b, v1c etc. So I get 26 versions per number.
Weirdest blip I've had lately has been a PS message about a problem with markers on JPG files every now and then. It refuses to open them (even though Preview opens them and you can 'space bar' preview them from the Finder). Easy way round – right click on the file in Finder, copy it, open a new PS file (which will automatically be the size of whatever is on the clipboard), paste the image and resave. Works perfectly then.
I still see filenames with proper apostrophes or copyright symbols breaking links within Adobe CC apps, especially when packaged to a RAID. Depends on how the RAID is shared across the network.
Extended character sets, I can see breaking some things. They shouldn't but it'll happen. Periods, shouldn't on anything made in like the last two decades.
Just absolutely smashed a project.
Tight deadline, got the client out of a hole. It was an interesting project as well, really happy with the outcome.
I wish I could share it.
