Don't turn it down, honestly Hard mode is ok once you're beyond the tutorial. It's a good challenge and the tutorial is pretty damn good at teaching you what not to do.
What's the difficulty breakdown in this? I'm not being lazy, my cart is still sealed (maybe I am being lazy actually, I could Google it). I think on Awakenings I went for hard coupled with unit regeneration at the end of a chapter, but I can't remember. It's such a long quest (the three games combined at any rate) I think I might go for normal tied with classic permadeaths this time.
Or maybe I'll go for hard but not not permadeath, and just book a day off work for chapter 5. I can't handle the loss of someone who might be My Guy (or Gal).
I'm just doing perma-death normal for the first time round (Birthright), but I fear the worst doing hard in Conquest. I'm getting a distinct feeling that I'm failing at opportunities to recruit allies in story mode.
I've tried for another few hours, but I'm still not really feeling it. Despite enjoying the GBA versions, I think maybe Fire Emblem might not be for me. I'm not throwing the towel in yet, I'll keep trying.
I'm about 4/5 through the hacking process. No piracy intentions whatsoever, just want to have all my games on the system at once instead of fannying about with cartridges like it's the 90s.
Birdorf, I'll speak to wife and see if she's still short of a birthday pressie for me.
It took me a few attempts to do 5, but only because I kept making silly mistakes towards the end.
If you pair up a couple with good defence, let them take the brunt of any attacks and take your time, it should be fairly straightforward. I'm a big fan of using a singer to allow units to have another go.
Yeah, probably should have said that it's the special edition.
Sorry for slow reply but I really want it BUT I should give it a miss really.
I'll probably buy them one at a time, as I'm not really too bothered about them all being on one cartridge. Plus I've just bought 2 boardgames that cost the same.
