Aye, it’s good fun. It’s not without flaws, but I’ve played a lot of great games this year and not one of them has been without issues, so it’d be unfair to hold those issues against Zelda in particular. An easy Top 5 for GotY.

Something doesn't feel right though. I don't feel like the badass Link that I have in past Zelda games at this stage, I still often get taken down by semi minions. I guess that's kinda the point?

Done 50 odd Shrines, about 50% of the side quests and only one memory left to find. I plan on getting that memory at the very least before the credits roll.

Just feels like there's to much unfinished business.

It doesn't quite balance the badassery well enough. By the time I did the big push I wouldn't dare say hello to the Lynels, but I merked Ganon in two attempts. You're ready when you think you are, basically. Sounds like you can still use your [but not yet] gif.

Dunno. I bypassed the little bigbads en route. I did the entire castle section dosed up on defence or attack potions.

Played with the intentions of completing this evening, ending up just chasing the horizon with the usual distractions for another 3 hours.

On the plus side I've found all the memories.

2nd DLC put to bed. Came good in the end & I'm glad I pushed on passed my original concerns. Didn't get what I really hoped from it, but there was a few head scratchers & the final hurrah definitely had shades of my desire.

@Cindemon, any idea how long it took you to complete it? I was really looking forward to it, but the beginning being combat focused (I ignored that quite a bit in the main game) has me doubting this a bit. It's not that I really need more games to play, but there's also part of me that wants to go back to this Hyrule.

@Nina probably 8/9ish hours across 3 sittings. Miles easier than DLC1 but then its a different sort of beast I suppose. Good value in the end & it's always nice to go back to Hyrule.

My only problem with both DLC's & their rewards is that...

All the loot is pointless if you've reached the end game. It's a problem with the game and the DLC.

Plus the DLC armour can't be upgraded which is also baffling.

Another 5 hours or so done this week.

Still mopping up side quests and bumping into more of them and Shrines whilst doing so.

Quick question for anyone in the know...

Things like Diamonds, Star Fragments etc, are they used for anything or am I safe to sell them for Rupees? I've pretty much not sold anything during my playthrough as I'm always worried about ending up needing what I sell in these kind of games.
