I don't want to pigeonhole you but Undertale has a robot transexual.
  • I got stuck on that boss. I'm gonna have to start over. Again. On a lower difficulty. Really not bothered about being challenged, it's all about the chats and characters and socialises.
I am a FREE. I am not MAN. A NUMBER.
  • Played the Vita version and normal is perfectly fine imo, one or two challenging bosses (which is a good thing), and I never needed to grind at all.

Not sure what differences exist between PS2 and Vita versions, apart from extra dungeons, persona, story bits and prettier visuals on the Vita side.

Gonna stick to this and Bloodborne (cos a mate has just picked it up) for the near future, I'll report progress and ting.
  • DS, you've reminded me that I've got a yarred copy of this, but only played about 30 mins.

The PCSX2 emulator has been rock solid in my opinion. I've got a decent spec PC, but even a budget PC should be able to handle it.

I'm gonna have to pick this game up again. It'd be cool to playthrough at roughly the same time, DS. How many hours per week are you thinking of putting into it?

No set amount, just whenever it floats my boat really. Gonna do some tomorrow though, get through the two hours or so Jon mentioned.
  • People lower the difficulty?!

Aren't there five difficulty settings in P4G? I think I went with second easiest, which felt about right.

Anyway, thread resurrection put me in the mood for P3P, but I don't really want to dust off the PSP. Looked on the Vita store and it's £24.99, so nope. Hopefully it'll show up in a sale at some point.

Also, will definitely be playing through P4G again at some point in the near future, but will have to read up on what I did wrong to get the early ending, because it really ended on a low last time.

Im playing on easy mode so the combat etc hasn't really challenged - but I do feel a bit overwhelmed with the sheer amount of stuff to do - especially the Persona fusing things in the back of the limo, which just makes no sense at all to me.

I'll move my playthrough of this to the proper thread.

So after doing 20 minutes at a time here and there (yay save states), I'm through that cinema length bloody intro and found my first two Personas, which obviously the game throws at you as you learn the mechanics.

    Couple of questions:

I gather you can find/purchase/earn better weapons/armour/rings? And also, is the game essentially 90% 'cut-scenes' with you just wandering about a little/for battle, or will it properly open up at some point so I can have a wander about etc?

Got to admit despite the aesthetic, I'm very, very intrigued. Made me laugh a fair few times (Teddie is a BOSS).

SCRAP ALL THAT I've had a read through the thread, good stuff. Done my glof rounds for the week (fucked it) so I'm free to venture into this.
  • Game alternates between wandering around doing your social life stuff and tackling dungeons on your off days.

You can buy better stuff in town but your persona and their upgrades via social links appeared more important overall to me - elemental coverage is important.

    ---

Been watching my flatmate play Persona 5. The main bulk of the engine is clearly built for PS3. That doesn't mean it looks bad, it just isn't the leap I was expecting, and the stylings on regular character models are not what I expected -more traditional than cel shaded. That said it makes up for it with lots of style, transitions between scenes are excellent whether it's loading, exiting a battle or entering a menu it always looks dazzling. Nice to see all the Persona redrawn too, and the characters seem like a decent bunch. Battle music doesn't sound like battle music at all, which is on one hand a good thing and on the other a bit odd. Dungeons are more involved too - there are mechanics and shortcuts and all sorts of things going on which makes a change from endless corridors.
