Yeah away from NPCs it's glorious, easy 90-140fps but tanks in towns/cities. But we all know its problems. I'll take my time with it as it feels quite camp and fun.

Give me 220fps at 1440p out in the wilds and like 120-140fps in towns. Love it. Game is...actually fun sorry for earlier lads.

Haven’t tried it yet due to DS saying it clashes with the latest patch. Will wait until they patch the patch.

The 2 I first linked do. But you need 40 series cards. The other one apparently causes crashes on latest patch.

Don't worry, forthcoming Vegan mod will sort that out on PC.

This is great. Like fucking good fun. Looks both glorious and awful at some points, handles really nice, PC mods are banging, like no stamina use outside of combat (hate that shit). Having a blast.

Well that was a fun night, progressed the main quest quite a bit and think I got an infected pawn, got a warning message popping up explaining the plague and how it is transferred, I moved quickly to try and cut it out the party, but I'm not 100% sure. Also took on
    Spoiler:
that was a bit of a scrap.

    Need to sleep.
  • Has anyone fought a dragon and won yet? I'm level 36, and all the ones I've faced thus far have been too strong.

Also I'm disappointed in the mage class. In the original game you ended up with the power to summon literal meteors to smite your enemies, unless there is magick that I have yet to discover.

I'm using the mage floaty jump to reach difficult places, and I also remember in DD1 playing the mage class more than I would have liked, because of said usefulness of floaty jump, so that's a shame.

Yep that was my spoiler. Took him out last night with a combo of blight and explosive arrows and Abby my kick ass Pawn with her huge hammer. Had to do three revives through what was an epic battle at 1am. Think I was level 34 at the time

One thing I've noticed is you can still health yourself (LB + Up D-Pad) even when your bar hits zero, I was lucky that when I fought the dragon I had about 30 salubrious draughts from a pawn who loved making them for me. The dragon's final attacks are outright evil, and I think the archer does better here as you have a better view of the battlefield and know when to get out the way, assuming you haven't wasted all your stamina on shooting.

I haven't, I wasn't sure if the game was clever enough to just pick the best healing potion based on the situation. TBH, I haven't really looked into it.

This game has me well and truly hooked. I didn't go to bed until 3am, got up and started playing at 8:30am for an hour before heading out, now want to play again, even though I'm knackered.

I’m currently level 33, so would have been 32 when I took on the dragon…touch me.

Just discovering a whole new section of the map and there are enemies everywhere. I’m out of nearly all healing draughts and I’m still a ways from the nearest town.

Those spells are unlocked with the Sorcerer specialist class.

I don't know how to unlock the magic archer. It's not just buying a magic bow is it? Because I know where to get one of those.

Don't tell me if it's something you need to find for yourself though, I'd prefer to stumble across it naturally

I've heard it's late game unlock. I really want it but guessing it's a bit powerful. I really need to up my bow as I'm getting my arse handed to me where I am right now. Still haven't made it to the town. I've got no explosive or blight arrows and I've had a griffin harrying me every time I try to get ahead.
  • I'm playing as thief now and it's a welcome break. Plus, there's a jump in the air spinning move that looks fucking awesome and allows you to scale steep caverns if you aim properly. Also I didn't realise that you could cook raw meat at the camp site, didn't expect it to cut to real footage of a piece of meat in a frying pan. This game is so random sometimes.

It really is. Killed everything else I was considering playing. So glad I've got the week off.

So, I decided to read up on the pawn plague, yeah you really don't want your pawns getting that. It's BAD.

Think I'm like level 12 or 13. Running about discovering cavea and all kinds of shit. Need to get me a two handed weapon so can go full tank. Glorious world building, there's stuff everywhere.
  • Is torpor still a thing?
  • I haven't seen it yet, but have seen some enemies affected by frost move quite slowly?

I am deadly afraid of petrification which I assume is back in this game, given the opening titles, though i havent yet encountered it. In DD1 I remember always, always having some secret softener potion on hand!
