Stunning architecture in nicely grounded surroundings with mushrooms supplied by a crazy, rich hippy. Haven’t got to the last episode yet so don’t know how it all ends but up to where I am it’s a place I’d happily live - psychosis and all.
Likewise. Apparently the setting is the biggest change from the original book. In the book it’s not a beautiful Modernist dream house with impeccably turned out interiors, but a bit of a crusty hippie glamping vibe in yurts.

Ah. Didn't realise it could be broken up like that.nick_md wrote:

Ben Mendolson, Jason Bateman (directing too) based on a Stephen King apparently.
Bunch of other faces I recognise too. One from Mare of Easttown, 2 from The Looming Tower.

Definitely takes a turn which is predictable given its king. First 2 eps are almost mare of Easttown style straight crime things. Albeit with a pretty weird mystery. Takes a bit more of a turn after that. Still, great actors and characters everywhere and it's beautifully shot.

Yeah first 2 are excellent and the rest depends on how you feel about typical King type storyline stuff.

I'm looking forward to it. Can't get past Patterson Joseph as the holy guy though, he's still Alan Johnson.mk64 wrote:Gremill wrote:Getting quite into The Leftovers now.
