My excuse is I needed Bazel parts anyway (I like the dual blades look, and I guess the hunting horn is a popular one too) and I enjoy fighting Radobaan. So only Girros was of no use to me. I've been doing it via SOS, so abandoning wouldn't be fair.

Thanks for the hh tips, I'll have to try it on a group at some point. Only used it three times in the Egg Lovers quest, was pretty hard to find openings for playing songs, often got a rock thrown at my head.

MHW talk at the GDC this year, some nice stuff on there. It's a bit long because everything gets translated the whole time, but they show some nice prototype footage.

350+ hours in and, finally, the normal shots decoration drops for me. Been enjoying both light and heavy bowgun recently, so this tightens up my builds.

Can't you sell a load of stuff for the zenny trophy? I got rid of valuables and some excess materials and got to about 600k then not long after made another 200k or so.

Unfortunately this died a death on Xbox. Community is king and when you've no one to go hunting with it's a real bummer. 

What a game though, my favorite in a long while.

Limited game mode? At least I've a couple of days I can try it before family arrives for two weeks. Curious.

@Haak, is it even hard to find random gathering halls? I don't see many badgers around at the moment, mainly because of time difference as I do sometimes spot ayns when logging off at night. Randoms can be good fun, was in a hall the other day where someone posted a tempered Jho, and the same 3 people (incl me) kept trying it with one added random. Gives you a feel for the other's hunting style and felt good when we had him third try.

Thinking of joining another squad, as you can be in a couple. Arekkz's girl has a fun stream and just opened a squad, think I'll jump in that one today. I know more of you joined other squads too, any recommendations?

Does that mean they've removed the annoying scout fly camera rotation that kicks in precisely 1 second after you think you've got manual control after returning to base?

Pretty sure you can be in a couple squads at the same time. I don't know where he went, school started just before he went on a break so I'm assuming he's getting very smart at the moment. Or maybe the Chinese teachers require you to hand over any consoles during school time, who knows.

I haven't played in a few weeks now. It was only me and Elmlea when I left who were logging on. Playing with randoms is fine, but I much prefer being in a decent Guild/Squad.

I could perhaps go back to it and research some other communities to join. Playing Tera at the moment though.

There's a lot more info coming out now, Japanese Twitter is throwing out new stuff, think gaijin hunter will have a new video with that soon, and official MH will stream on Twitch in a couple hours. This of course all happens when I'm asleep.

Meanwhile, the gold crown quests aren't giving me much crowns. Still need 8 that should be easier to get now (18 total). Pukei, Rathalos and Legiana didn't give me any golden crowns so far. Don't think I will get all the easier obtainable ones before the festival is over. That's ok, event quests are supposed to rotate anyway.

Took the hunting horn out for some multiplayer quests (hadn't tried it since the 3 kulu practice runs), didn't go too badly. Died a couple times first couple monsters, mainly because getting stunned while playing tunes. Went smoother towards the end, I can almost remember all the Deviljho's songs now.

Did some kulve Taroth attempts this evening and eventually took one down. Just joined a random session to get a group together as you can't SOS it apparently. Can't take much credit for the victory though. Was using my bow gun and doing piddly damage a lot of the time.

More good new content then. Very pleased with this.

Have been looking at that golden armour set, and I just can't decide if I should go for alpha or beta. Both look solid. I can make both the leg pieces, but have only two glimstones, and I need one for waist and one for arms. Don't have any Nergi or Xeno gems for the head and chest pieces, might be time to go to the melder for those. Don't fancy grinding Xeno right now, although I might need some bits anyway (I want a flinch free set, I always lose to the bigger swords when going for the horns in the Kulve fight).

Must've completed that kulve quest at least 6 times now and still not had any glimstones. Got tons of all the other materials.

Would be really nice to get the full suit of armour but i've probably had enough. There's only so many times i want to go through such a long battle even though it's a great fight.

Think Kulve is done for now right? I got a couple of hunts done the first couple days.

Haven't been able to play for almost two weeks. Decided MH would be a step too far for my nephew, when I showed him Pokémon Go he didn't agree with capturing monsters. Feel like he wouldn't be able to handle MH for a couple more years...
